Florida Fruit Tree Crop Insurance Program Changes Effective for the 2021 and Succeeding Crop Years

The Federal Crop Insurance Corporation (FCIC) revised the Florida Fruit Tree Crop Provisions and Insurance Standards Handbook for the 2021 and succeeding crop years. These materials were revised to clarify the optional unit structure provisions and procedure.

Approved insurance providers must notify policyholders of these changes at least 30 days prior to the cancellation date, as required by the policy.
The 2021 crop year sales closing date for the Florida Fruit Tree Insurance Program is April 15, 2020. Interested producers should contact a crop insurance agent for further information. A list of agents can be found on the RMA website at www.rma.usda.gov/en/Information-Tools/Agent-Locator-Page.
