2024 Juneteenth Celebration of Emancipation

RMA presents “Celebration of Emancipation: A Look at Juneteenth, the life Black Homesteaders, and Their Contributions to Agriculture Post Emancipation” on Thursday, June 13.

Presenters Bernice Bennett, Author, and Genealogist; Dr. Ron Rainey, Assistant VP of the University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture; and A Representative from the Descendants of Homesteader Luke Sconiers highlight post emancipation through the lens of homesteading, farming, and land grant institutes during the Reconstruction era.
