Not all successful organic farms excel in the same way, and there is no “recipe” for what will make you an exceptional organic farmer. But there are some management skills and personal qualities that help, along with some financial considerations. Use this tool to assess yourself and your farm enterprise, and to identify a few areas you want to improve. 

Here are a few ways you might use this tool:

1. Do it once a year and see how your answers change over time.
2. Compare your answers with those of a spouse/farm partner.
3. Ask a partner or trusted advisor to fill it out about you and learn what others see.
